Youth Trials Riders Association
The NATC supports youth in trials in two ways: first, organizers in Tennessee and Colorado put on the Eastern and Western Youth Nationals every year; second, the USYTRA led by Bill Markham conducts events at each national.
The U.S. Youth Trials Riders Association is an organization designed to work with and help youth in the sport of Observed Trials. Ten years ago Ryan Young started a youth national program. Four years ago Bill Markham (ITS) took over the program, and this past year Darlene Lynch volunteered to help Mr. Bill. The two work in conjunction with the NATC.
The goal of the US-YTRA is to work with young children, teaching them trials techniques, understanding section layout and good old fashion competition in a National setting. The hope is that local clubs will adopt a youth program, and the Youth National series will grow with the children.
Children ages up to 13 years are welcome. AMA membership is required. Our schedule is the same as the AMA/NATC National Series. The Youth National is held Saturday at 3:00pm with a riders' meeting at 2:30pm. There will be a training session at 10:00am on Sunday.
"There is nothing stronger than the Heart of a volunteer".
Thank You All. This is going to be a great year!
